When all of the boys reached adulthood, it was decided they should compose letters of congratulations and friendship to the last surviving member of the Class. These letters were sealed in the fabric envelope pictured below, which is found in the inside back cover of the book. The calligraphy on the outside of the envelope reads "From Class Number One to Their Last Survivor. This pocket contains letters of congratulation written by the members of the Class to the last survivor who is to break the seal. The letters were written when the youngest member attained his majority." Sadly, while we do not know who was the last surviving class member, we do know that whoever he was, he did not read these letters. You, however, can read each boy's letter simply by clicking on the names below.
